AD or Director, Performance Strategy and Development role with Asset Management firm

• Require relevant exp gained in the investment consultant space with renowned investment research MNCs
• Has a proven track record in performance analytics
• Role focuses on the review of the performance of funds and capital allocation issues

Our client is a renowned asset management firm. For this role, you are an Asia-based asset management group that provides access to a broad range of investment strategies and expertise.

Core functions:

• Perform in-depth analyses of performance of managers, funds and strategies within the group
• Inform product development and marketing/distribution priorities on the basis performance analysis
• Provide input to capital-allocation decisions
• Contribute to and support engagement with asset-management companies in the firm's portfolio in a collaborative way
• Prepare decision and discussion material for senior management and Board
• Assist underlying asset management companies to be highly due-diligence and consultant-ready
• Contribute to overall team and firm development

Qualifications/Capabilities:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably with exposure to finance, accounting, and/or economics
• Ideally CFA and CMFAS exams, or willingness to obtain them
• At least 8 - 12 years working experience, recently in a large investment consulting firm or similar
• High degree of familiarity with performance analysis in the fund management industry
• Be able to lead and coach junior staff
• Have good interpersonal skills and be able to work well as part of different teams and deal with multiple stakeholders
• Possess excellent writing skills and presentation skills
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independently
• Ability to work under stress and within tight timelines
• Able to work with ambiguity in a newly created role
