Main responsibilities:
  • Involved in writing and guiding research reports on the credits under coverage. These may include detailed research initiation reports, brief company updates and reports on regulatory trends or market developments.
  • Client meetings to discuss research views.
  • Meeting prospective clients to market the organisation's research products, in collaboraton with the sales and client success teams.
  • Works closely with other Asia-Pacific credit analysts on common topics, such as macro-level analysis or relative value views.
  • Potentially managing and training junior research analysts. for more senior credit analyst
  • Works closely and Interacts with colleagues in their US and London offices on research topics.
  • Occasional overseas travel e.g., to visit the companies under coverage or to meet clients (after the global Covid-19 situation is under control).

Main criteria:-
  • Professional experience of 10 to 12 years, at least 5 years of hands-on experience conducting credit research on high yield and investment grade Chinese corporates. A record of previous publications would be preferred.
  • An in-depth understanding of regulatory issues, macro-economic factors and other issues affecting Chinese companies.
  • Financial modelling work experiece
  • Good English writing skills; able to write quickly and prolifically.
  • Proficiency in Chinese (especially speaking and reading), as the candidate will be required to analyse Chinese issuers and may need to communicate with issuers and investors in Chinese.
  • Familiarity with using databases such as WIND, Dealogic and Bloomberg.
  • Ability to work well in a small team. •
  • Proven record in extensive client and corporate interaction.
  • Ability to multi-task, a strong work ethic, team player and also able to work indepedently
  • Undergraduate and/or post graduate degree from a recognised University.
  • CFA/CAIA designation will be advantageous.

Highly prefers candidates who are currently working in Singapore due to current covid 19 travel restrictions.
