The APAC Capital Markets Credit Solutions Team at Citi Private Bank (CPB) is seeking a highly experienced Capital Markets credit professional to help the development of credit solutions for the APAC Capital Markets business. This professional will be based in Singapore and report to the CPB APAC Head of Credit Solutions. The individual will work closely with the CPB & Markets Risk teams and CPB Investment Finance to deliver comprehensive credit solutions suitable for our Capital Markets clients' investment portfolios and strategic solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • This individual will be work closely with CPB Capital Markets and Risk/Investment Finance, with overall responsibility for structuring and negotiating efficient credit solutions for CPB clients.
  • This role will encompass credit initiatives related to expansion of activities related to: (i) trading & investment products; and (ii) strategic solutions relationships (MDA) and transactions (SES, SRS, CRE, etc).
  • This individual will partner with Product Specialists, Investment Counselors and Bankers to assess client and/or transaction requirements, align PSE line availability to support trading & investment activities, and manage credit structuring and approvals for strategic solutions trades.
  • The individual will work with Investment Finance and Risk to periodically review Product Programs related to the extension of credit (including PSE limits and Loanable Values) to ensure consistency within APAC and with global standards.
  • Champion and develop new Credit Methodologies for Capital Markets at CPB.
  • Proactively partner with the Capital Markets Desk and Risk Analytics to dimension Credit needs and provide client solutions.
  • Establish robust processes for monitoring, issue resolution and escalations including leveraging of existing tools within the ICG.
  • The individual will work with our largest Family Office clients that are active across asset classes and products to assess credit needs on an ongoing basis, and provide credit insights to facilitate onboarding processes including ISDA negotiation and documentation requirements.
  • Develop relationships required to guide and drive approval processes with Risk and Credit functions across ICG, notably FIRM/GIRM when CPB clients transact with Markets & Securities Services (MSS).
  • Mentor and help further Capital Markets Credit expertise within our Underwriting team.


Requirements:

Candidates must have strong analytical skills and be able to use both qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze complex financial situations. Candidates must have strong problem-solving abilities and experience in developing and executing large, bespoke transactions. Candidates must demonstrate an interest, knowledge, experience and expertise in financial markets, as well as possessing excellent analytical, organizational, communication, leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Initiative, energy, and confidence to achieve strong business results. Judgment and discretion in working with highly confidential information are also critical. Candidate must be capable of multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • 10+ years of experience in Capital Markets Risk, Credit or similar role
  • Knowledge of risk drivers for Capital Markets Products across Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Credit, Structured Notes and OTC Derivatives
  • Comfort with Market Risk and Credit Risk parameters.
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills; ability to influence decision making incorporating quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. As this role crosses over lines of business between Capital Markets and Investment Finance, it is critical to build strong partnerships and a team based approach.
  • Results Driven and Experience implementing a business strategy at a regional / global level.
  • Undergraduate Degree Required / MBA or CFA a plus
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with familiarity of working with large amounts of data
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills
  • Strong teamwork, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Energetic and motivated personality, with the willingness to take the initiative where appropriate
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines successfully
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and successfully manage several projects at a time
