Who we're looking for

Schroders is rolling out a range of highly complex change programs across our Product division, which comprises of our global Product, Marketing & Solutions teams. Such programs include the Program Governance Change Programme (itself consisting of 3 separate projects) that is likely to continue for the next few years.

The need to implement such global programs in APAC is complicated as each APAC country have their peculiar requirements in terms of legal, regulatory and business customs, sometimes very different from those of the UK.

The projects and activities led by the successful individual will support Schroders aim's of becoming a top-tier asset manager by ensuring compliance with laws & regulations and where possible delivering and maintaining products more efficiently.

We require an individual with an excellent track record of analysing & documenting business processes, preferably in financial services. It is expected that the individual will be able to work effectively with a broad range of SMEs as well as communicate effectively with the UK project team.

The Business Analyst, Product Change will be accountable to the Chief Administrative Officer, Japan who has an additional regional role working closely with the APAC Head of Product on all Product change and project initiatives. The individual will also be accountable to the Head of Technology and Change for APAC as well as a link to the global Product Change team via the Business Transformation Lead for the Product and Solutions division.

The team

You will be part of the APAC Change team, with responsibility for projects within the APAC Product and Marketing division. You will therefore be working closely with the local Product and Marketing teams across the region.

What you'll do
  • Manage the delivery of projects and activities in relation to the roll-out of Global change programmes in the APAC region
  • Work with the senior stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent reporting and to ensure that the deliverables of projects remain clearly focused on targeted outcome.
  • Work with all relevant business stakeholders, including Product Development, Marketing, Legal and Compliance.
  • Co-ordinate project committees and working group meetings as required.
  • With the support of relevant stakeholders, create and maintain project plans with clear milestones.
  • Support communication of progress and changes to the wider organisation
  • Manage dependencies across the programme.
  • Ensure programme, project and local are delivered in adherence with Group Change policies
  • Manage effective project handovers, monitor post implementation results and feedback.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
  • Experience and knowledge of Financial Services, preferably Asset Management.
  • Proven track record as a business analyst with experience of Investment, Operational and product life cycle business processes
  • Methodical and detail orientated.
  • Evidence of capability to manage multiple senior stakeholders
  • Strong collaborative skills and when appropriate influence across a broad, senior stakeholder base.
  • Ability to deliver difficult messages where necessary and the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
  • Evidence of resolving challenging issues and contributing to end state solutions.
  • Able to make trade-offs to ensure priority value items are delivered.
  • Can drive to make decisions.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
  • Basic professional qualifications relating to the asset management industry (IOC/CFA)
  • Relevant Programme / Project Management qualifications (PMP/PMI)
  • Understanding and experience of both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
  • Knowledge and experience of applying Lean business process analysis (Desired)
