Director or Executive Director, Investment, Australia focus

A regional real estate fund is looking to grow their portfolio in Australia and New Zealand, they are looking for a Director with a strong transactions track record to lead on transactions as well as pick up a regional investment role.

Being a key senior support to the Fund Manager, with responsibilities including the following:

• Drive and implement the investment strategy for the Fund, overseeing all transaction activity. Lead the transaction activity (mainly in Australia and New Zealand but overseeing other markets as well) from sourcing to deal execution. Lead the hold-sell analysis for the portfolio.
• Develop and maintain networks, largely in Australia and New Zealand and maintain a robust deal pipeline.
• Participate in equity raising (presentations, investors due diligence etc) to drive the growth of the Fund.
• Provide investor updates on investment activity and performance including property tours.
• Take key responsibility for the asset management of acquired assets to deliver underwritten strategy (cradle to grave approach). Undertaking valuations with the asset manager.
• Provide guidance, direction and mentorship to junior team members in the investment team.
• Seek and implement initiatives to improve the efficiency, governance, performance and profile of the Fund.
• Provide transaction support to the opportunistic Fund where required

We are seeking an individual who

• Has around 12+ years' experience with some transaction experience in Australia (a bonus if they experience in other countries as well)
• Enjoys a very hands-on approach and is able to work across all stages of real estate investment from sourcing to asset management to disposition
