Asset Managers and JV Partners located across Asia Pacific
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Deal Support, Valuation & Operations team plays an important role in the growing Asian investment portfolio. The team supports illiquid investing strategies, including real estate, private equity, credit platforms, and private debt transactions, through a combination of investment closing, investment management, and valuation responsibilities.
Investment Closing
Co-ordinate investment closings which include involvement in deal structuring, review of legal documentation, managing requirements with external counterparties and acting as main point of contact for internal stakeholders within various non-investing functions in the firm
Participate in financial, legal and tax due diligence for potential investments
Investment Management
Participate in regular portfolio reviews to assess portfolio and asset level performance
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate various deal lifecycle events
Monitor deal compliance including performance covenants, senior finance covenants, cash flow projections and financial reporting
Actively support disposition processes at both portfolio and asset level
Perform audits on the Asset Managers that partner with the firm
Valuation
Re-forecasts of investments to comply with quarterly US GAAP valuation requirements, as well as local statutory reporting for deal SPVs
Report to internal Valuation Committee and manage external verification procedures
Qualifications:
Accountancy qualification
Minimum five years of PQE experience with exposure to the financial services industry - preferably a Big Four background in Transactional Services, M&A advisory, or Valuation services.
Exposure to deals in jurisdictions such as Australia, Indonesia, and India is advantageous
Experience in valuations is advantageous
Strong math and analytical skills required with attention to detail
Ability to work in a dynamic global environment with the highest level of integrity
Ability to deal with a degree of uncertainty • Medium to high level of proficiency in Excel
Personal Attributes:
• Experienced and confident communicator (both oral and written) with strong relationship skills
• High standards; meets deadlines and qualitative and quantitative expectations
• Inquisitive; always seeking to learn, and with strong problem-solving skills
• Pro-active and willing to take responsibility
