Investment Director, Fixed Income

Job Summary

As the Investment Director for Fixed Income at Schroders Investment Management (Singapore) Ltd, you will report to the Head of Asian Fixed Income. You will be the client facing investment specialist in Asian Fixed Income focused on building the Schroders Fixed Income brand and presence globally.

Your key responsibilities include

• Working with the Head of Asian Fixed Income to
  • Manage the Asian Fixed Income Product Specialist team
  • Help drive business strategy
  • Develop the Asian Fixed Income business globally
  • Build Asian Fixed Income's brand and strategies with Schroders Strategic Capability managers
  • Enhance Asian Fixed Income's profile with internal stakeholders
  • Work with distribution colleagues globally to build and enhance Asian Fixed Income's strategies with clients
  • Contribute to solutions driven sales
• Product governance of the Asian Fixed Income product range and working with the Global Head of Product Governance
• Intellectual point of contact for clients regarding investment related matters in Asian Fixed Income
• Thought leadership around Asian Fixed Income related topics
• Product design and implementation
  • Work with the Head of Asian Fixed Income and portfolio managers for the delivery of new investment ideas
  • Engage with wider investment, product and business development groups on product design
  • Develop new funds to capture client demand
• Engage and work with distribution teams to build the overall (Global & Asian) Fixed Income brand and assist in sales efforts
• Present at Schroders client events, representing Asian and global fixed income capabilities / strategies / funds

Essential skills

• At least 15 years of fixed income advisory / product design and implementation experience
• Deep knowledge of currencies, rates (macro) and credit markets
• Highly methodical and enjoy working under tight deadlines
• Prior experience and a proven track record in driving business strategies
• Enjoy working in a team environment with leadership capability
• Strong knowledge of MS Powerpoint, MS Word, MS Excel and Bloomberg / Reuters Eikon
• Ability to engage across teams (investments, business development and client service, operations, compliance, product)
• Ability to work with ambiguity
• Strong time management and workload management skills
• Self starter
