Our client is a major global investor based in Abu Dhabi. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Head of Public Markets to develop the fund's exciting investmet strategy.
What the job involves
- Assist Portfolio Manager and Head in all equity, hedge fund and fixed income and credit investments (including defining investment strategies)
- Perform analysis, research and due diligence on investment management firms and assist in conducting manager searches
- Develop quantitative tools for portfolio construction and optimization, including tracking error budgeting
- Maintain and develop quantitative and statistical tools and methodologies designed to optimize quantitative due diligence for manager selection (quantitative screening, rankings, scorecards, risk adjusted ratios, drawdown analysis)
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant investment markets by reviewing current research reports and publications and through contact with current and potential investment managers.
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in a quantitative field such as economics, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or physics
- A financial background and experience working in a similar field
- Strong relationship management skills and problem solving competencies
- Strong coding acumen and experience of running analysis on an optimised platform
- Experience of working on due diligence is preferred
- Experience of building quantitative tools and methodologies to help drawdown analysis is preferred
