Our New Business Services (NBS) team is looking for a seasoned NBS Onboarding Manager to join them in Singapore. This role works primarily with internal teams across the organization to successfully manage the onboarding of Institutional clients with focus on operational set up and other enterprise-wide setup. This position takes full ownership of managing the onboarding timeline by tracking of deliverables and monitoring of milestones to ensure that client accounts are launched by target dates. This role will also be involved in supporting RFP requests and retail fund launches.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
  • Ensure the successful set up and launch of all Institutional Accounts by coordinating and working with operational teams and internal business partners such as Distribution, Portfolio Management, Legal and Compliance and other departments:
    • Work with Distribution team to determine target launch timeline acceptable to clients as well as being feasible from set up perspective
    • Organize and chair onboarding calls and meetings to ensure relevant teams are kept up to date of onboarding status and any issues that require resolution or escalation
    • Ensure appropriate escalation of onboarding issues/challenges and seek/support resolution on timely basis
    • Track and monitor status of action items necessary for launch of the account against target timeline
    • Provide onboarding call notes and outstanding action items
    • Follow onboarding workbook as appropriate, ensure completion of onboarding checklist, profile information and signoffs by relevant teams
  • Regular review of onboarding workbook and checklist to ensure these are up to date
  • Identify challenges and trends, seek solution to address these tactically and/or strategically
  • Co-ordination of other significant events, eg complex in/out-species and account restructuring
  • Support review and seek signoffs of RFP terms and conditions where required
  • Support launches of retail funds primarily in the coordination of operational teams and ensure operational setup can meet launch timeline
  • Build and foster relationships with internal teams that participate in onboarding activities; maintain adequate knowledge of various team functions and key team members
  • Seek continuous improvement of existing processes including application of best practices, tools that can improve timeliness, client experience and operational risk control


What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 5 years financial service industry experience preferably in operations, client/product implementation or client servicing
  • Solid knowledge of asset management and financial services industry
  • Comprehensive background and understanding of front, middle, and back-office functions and processes
  • University or college degree

OTHER USEFUL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Project management
  • Knowledge of another Asian language (e.g Mandarin Chinese/Cantonese, Korean) would be desirable due to regional coverage
  • Professional qualification in business administration, accounting, finance, or marketing
