Your key roles & responsibilities include:
- Engaging Mizuho's corporate clients on strategic discussions regarding ESG matters and provide advice and support to our corporate clients as they tackle the issues and transition to a low carbon society
- Providing advice on third party ESG rating methodologies and assist our corporate clients who are seeking to obtain an ESG rating or second party opinion from third party ESG service providers
- Collaborating closely with Mizuho's Head of Sustainable Finance in establishing green and/or sustainability linked frameworks and structures to enable our corporate clients to raise green financing
- Supporting ESG thought leadership within Mizuho, including training and workshop sessions to internal Mizuho staff
Job Requirements
What you should have:
- Preferably someone familiar with the major products or services offered by the major ESG service providers in the market - such as Sustainalytics, Cicero, MSCI, FTSE Russell, S&P, Vigeo Eiris and others.
- Must demonstrate leadership initiatives to contribute and help drive the ESG strategy Mizuho Bank.
- Must be comfortable to undertake analytical work, but with the ability to convert the analysis into sound ESG or sustainable finance advices that would appeal to our corporate clients.
- Must be comfortable and confident in presenting own analysis/ideas to senior management and executives of our corporate clients (CFO, Group Treasurer).
