Direct Investments Group (Developed & South East Asia)
The Direct Investment strategy in GIC Private Equity focuses on sourcing and investing directly in companies in minority private equity, growth capital, buyouts and structured capital transactions, typically taking minority positions across a range of equity and equity-like products.
We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Direct Investments team in Singapore, who will review transaction opportunities focusing on Developed Asia (Korea, Japan, Australia/Oceania).

Responsibilities
•Part of the Direct Investments Group based in Singapore and will report to the Head of Direct Investments Group, Developed & South East Asia.
•Heavy involvement in sourcing, evaluating and executing investments in minority private equity, buyouts, and structured capital transactions.
•Active participation in handling deal approval processes by overseeing the execution of transactions and managing various internal / external stakeholders.
•Portfolio management including but not limited to attending board meetings, interacting with management and other investors on a regular basis, working on ongoing strategic initiatives in portfolio companies etc.
•Development and execution of divestment plans for existing portfolio companies.
•Execution of special projects within the firm as assigned from time to time.
•Assist in the development of team members.

Requirements
•Good academic qualifications with at least 8 years of work experience in a top-tier investment bank or Private Equity fund preferably with experiencing covering Japan or Korea.
•Strong commercial and investment judgement to select and progress attractive investment opportunities efficiently and expeditiously.
•Experience in deal structuring, negotiations, overseeing due diligence and legal closing skills for direct private investments.
•Ability to oversee and manage portfolio companies.
•Strong written and communication skills; good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
