The Director of Investments Operations will be reporting into Global Head of Wealth Investments Operations and also is responsible to Asia Regional Head of Wealth O & T to provide oversight for all Asia Investments Operations functions. The role works closely with other functional verticals within Investments Operations namely Securities Operations, Managed and Alternative Investments Operations.

This position will have overall day-to-day operational and supervisory responsibilities for the CPB Capital Markets Operations team globally and Asia Investments Operations team in Asia. Responsible for ensuring that all processing is performed according to the standards set forth by the Bank in addition to government and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

o Manage large operation (Current size 130+ FTE ) of Capital Markets and Investments operations work with key stakeholders and partners to ensure successful implementation and sound control environment. The Team Manager is responsible to support the business on any new products and processes as well as ensuring all regulatory reporting requirements are met

o Business Management & Planning: Implement and delivery of business plans and targets. Plan, allocate and organize team resources to meet the business plan.

o Process/Continuous Improvement: To initiate and support process improvement activity and help to embed a culture of continuous improvement. To facilitate change through projects.

o Product Knowledge/Understanding: Sound understanding of Securities, FX, Money Market, Fixed Income and FX Options, Premium Deposit products and systems flows. Strong working knowledge of Investments products offered to CPB clients and ability to work with Finance, Technology and Business partners

o Risk Management: Identify and manage the risk, minimizing the outcome and escalating where appropriate. Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain effective working relationships. Partner with other department and / or divisions with common goals. Supports the successful accomplishment of internal MCA as they apply to the department.

o Managing Change: Proactively identify opportunities for change which will add value to the achievement of business objectives and enhance the customer experience. Be flexible to react and/or implement change initiatives.

o Team Leadership: Develop, plan, and implement activities that will enable a highly motivated and highly performing team to deliver team objectives. Fostering an environment of cooperation and change.

o Recruitment & Induction: Identify hiring needs and make hiring decisions. Oversee the new hire orientation process for new team members.

o Vendor Management : Ability to negotiate and monitor service levels with existing and potential new vendors. Managing complex interactions between service providers to ensure quality delivery of outcomes to the CPB Business with full accountability for outsourced activities.

o Team Development: Create, plan and implement activities that will support the development of team members. Workforce planning and review, as well as monthly productivity analysis. Work on an effective Resource Location strategy and manage teams remotely.

o Performance Management: Ensure team meets agreed service levels from CSC's and Third Party vendors, Coach and develop staff, Review and follow-up with each individuals performance to ensure they meet their specific objectives and that they have the right knowledge, skills and behaviors. Ensures that direct reports have clear objectives and targets linked to business objectives and appropriate behaviors ("what" is expected and "how" they are expected to achieve objectives).

o Support functions responsibility: Risk and Control, Training, Metrics, Quality assurance and User Acceptance Testing.

o Successfully juggle multiple projects and projects UAT concurrently to meet deadlines

o Partner and work collaboratively, influence others and interact at all levels of the organization, as well as follow up with senior clients within the business

o Strengthen control environment ensuring that the global standard policies, procedures and tools are being used in the team. Supports the successful accomplishment of internal MCA as they apply to the department.

o Develop operational initiatives, benchmarks and metrics for standards of performance

o Support key regulatory and internal audit reviews

o Direct operations to achieve budgeted results and other financial and operational criteria

o Participate in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and objectives

o Continuity of Business Planning

Knowledge / Experience:

o Proven experience of senior stakeholder management, experience at dealing with C-levels at Global level. Investments Operations and Financial Services background

o Graduate Qualification or relevant experience in BA/BSc in relevant discipline

o Strong communication and presentation skills

o Good knowledge of Capital Markets products

o Ability to multi-task and execute tasks in line with priorities and dependencies in a timely manner

o Ability to build rapport with key business partners and interface with ICG Operations and MO functions across products to assist with the implementation of concepts, projects, processes, procedures collaboratively

o Analysis and decision-making skills to identify and understand primary issues, problems and opportunities and develop appropriate solutions

o Self-starter - positive, energetic and able to prioritize and act upon important issues whilst keeping communication channels open to relevant stakeholders

o Successful experience at driving change in large complex organizations

o Acting as a catalyst for formulating a cooperative environment to achieve a common purpose; proven ability to influence teamwork in others, especially within a regional/global and matrixed organization

Qualifications :

o 8-10 years management experience

o Proven Leadership Skills - experience at managing medium to large operations (100+) providing services to multiple countries

o Proven staff development knowledge, experience at developing and implementing staff development programs

o Strong Capital Markets product knowledge across businesses and geographies

o Experience in large transformation programs, particularly on the receiving side

o Computer Literacy, well versed with MS office product
