As a key leader in Personal Banking and Wealth Management (PBWM) Chief Data Office, you will drive execution of critical aspects of our data transformation, data strategy and data governance policy. As part of the Federated Chief Data Office organization, the Data Steward for PBWM, you will partner with data owners and consumers to agree on the scope of critical data quality challenges and ensure that the data operating model is implemented to reduce data risk. Remediation of issues will include partnering with various business and technology functions. You will help PBWM build a deep, comprehensive, and documented understanding of PBWM's key data, data processes, and data flows. Partnering with business data owners & data risk and control teams will be required to ensure maintenance of key artifacts and overall data quality improvements.

The incumbent in this role will cover execution of various Data Stewardship activities, execution of data management projects & programs, development and management of data quality & performance metrics (KPI/KRI), and development of agile capabilities. The responsibilities will also include supporting data requirements, data quality, metadata, lineage, authoritative data sources and data certification workstreams for Asia & EMEA; working with senior stakeholders in country, region and global, and partner with data owners, technology owners and risk and control teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure PBWM data is "fit for purpose" by executing the data operating model established in Citi
  • Identify and propose Data Elements from the Business Processes that must be designated as critical
  • Work with regional & global stakeholder to develop data management frameworks & success criteria
  • Support regulatory commitments by defining and tracking meaningful metrics
  • Support the identification and management of metadata in line with the policy in the standard tools;
  • Contribute to the maintenance of data lineage across critical process and regulatory reporting functions
  • Support Data Quality issues identification and remediation
  • Support the development & maintenance of detective and preventive data quality controls for critical data elements
  • Support data and certification activities to demonstrate progressive risk reduction
  • Engage with other stakeholders, such as Data Owners, Data Custodians, Data Providers, and Process Owners, Technology partners for ongoing alignment on data-related decisions to help adopt Policy and Standards


Competencies / Skills / Qualifications
  • Accomplished professional with 12+ years of experience in a large financial institution
  • Proven experience in managing projects & change initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and driving delivery to meet requirements
  • Seasoned go-getter who can manage ambiguities well;
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to manage large and diverse set of stakeholders and teams that are not directly reporting to the role.
  • Ability to explore alternatives to reach outcomes that are supported and accepted by various parties
  • Possesses good understanding of Data Management including data capabilities, accountability and stewardship
  • Knowledge of personal banking and wealth management processes and systems architecture
  • Detail oriented; diligent and self-driven
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive and Dynamic with a strategic mindset. Able to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Ability to work effectively in situations requiring analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques
  • Demonstrable ability in partnering across multi-functional organizations to bring change in a specialize function or capability
  • Flexible to work with global teams
  • Degree level or similar
