Division: Global Infrastructure Finance, APAC, Financing & Securitization

The Global Infrastructure Finance ("GIF") Asia Pacific team is part of GIF business which has a global remit, and regionally sits within Financing & Securitization, APAC.

GIF APAC originates and advises on financing transactions for corporate & financial sponsor clients across the capital spectrum in various formats, including in the bank loan market and institutional capital markets (Reg S/144A, private placement bond and institutional loans) together with our product partners. Our transactions within APAC have primarily been debt advisory for M&A or refinancing, and capital markets financing within the broader infrastructure space. Our business also owns and manages the infrastructure finance lending book which we use to originate, underwrite and participate in financings for select clients across the APAC region.

We work with owners of assets across the infrastructure, power, renewables, oil & gas, telecoms and digital infrastructure sectors. We are a truly regional business which encompasses Australia & NZ and Asia (including India and Japan).

Our transactions generally involve a material level of structuring which considers credit/ratings, hedging, accounting, tax and regulatory capital considerations to deliver value-added financing solutions to clients covering all markets of execution. Our team members develop strong quantitative (including modelling), credit, sector, legal structuring skills and are involved from a junior level in client and investor engagement. Similar to other capital markets businesses, we work closely with coverage and industry bankers as well as with investor sales and product teams.
