The role of automation Software Developer with Business Analysis is to improve business productivity through automations, establish new tools and to support day to day operations. He or she will be part of the Project Office Automation team working with the different business units in DB Wealth Management such as Front Office, ORM, Operations, Dealing Desks, Finance, Compliance, Lending, COO, Agile Tribes and others.

Your key responsibilities:
  • In charge of development lifecycle from requirements gathering, analysis & design, programming, implementation, testing and release with a focus on delivering solutions against business needs, requirements using VBA, scripting languages, databases, process automation and SQL technology.
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvements, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Reviewing existing automation tools, identify areas of modifications/improvement, able to fix problems in the code and provide users' production support
  • Monitoring of daily automated Windows job schedulers
  • Engage stakeholders in requirement gathering, reviews and solutions walkthrough
  • Conducts trainings and support business users through testing, go-live and post-implementation.
  • Provides documentations and users guide
  • Maintenance of intranet website as and when there's an update on Forms and KODs
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Prioritizing initiatives and ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements, ensuring timely completion of projects.

Your skills and experience:
  • A minimum of 3-5 year experience in software development and business analysis or a related field.
  • Experienced with software development methodologies and several full software development life-cycles
  • Must possess very strong VBA programming skills for Ms Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word)
  • With experience in Oracle database, SQL, PL/SQL and Python
  • Familiar with Bloomberg functions and API in Microsoft applications like Excel or Access
  • Strong in object-oriented programming, analysis and design
  • Excellent in written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional analytical and logical thinking to rationalize business users' requests
  • Must be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts with fellow team members
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
  • A process- driven and disciplined approach to produce high-quality deliverables to the agreed timetable
  • Independent and fast-learner in a fast-paced environment and great team player who is able to interact with others
  • Good to have:
  • Experience in Regulatory Reporting and Investment Banking industry is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of business analysis methods and tools (Agile, Waterfall, Jira, and Confluence)
  • With experience in HTML and Robotics Process Automation (RPA)
  • Willing / open to take ownership of full lifecycle of SDLC including production support/execution which may involve early morning hours/weekend, depending on the setup.
  • Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirement
