Job Purpose
Responsible for initiating and completing the Receivables Due Diligence (RDD) process for existing and proposed new Clients, plus liaising with external vendors who on occasion are also required to complete such reports. The incumbent will need to engage with SC frontline staff, Receivables Services Middle Office (RSMO), GBS and directly with Clients to obtain the necessary information for report completion with a view to maintaining the highest level of RDD output quality.
The role will report initially to the Regional Lead for ASEAN, RSMO. There may be occasional travel required.

The Role Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the scheduling, initiation and completion of RDD reports in accordance with the timeframes established by the Business.
  • Conduct the process personally from initial Client contact and data extraction through to report completion and submission to RSMO for sign-off, and then onward to RM.
  • Bring continual improvements by liaising with key stakeholders such as TB Sales, Coverage, TCI/TDMO, Global RDD Lead, Operations, Credit, CRC and GBS teams to ensure synergies across the delivery of the product proposition.
  • Assist Global RDD Lead as necessary to review both in-country and global procedures to optimise process efficiency and achieve minimal TAT.
  • Engage in deal pipeline discussions with RSMO, CCIB sales and RMs to pro-actively manage workload.
  • Provide evidence of completion of renewal reports due for submission for Operational Risk Framework (ORF) checks, or evidence of deferral/waiver from regional Credit approval officer.
  • Provide updates on RDD's falling due for completion to ensure all are on track and prevent any ORF testing exceptions.
  • Participate in monthly Risk Trigger meeting with RSMO, Credit and front office, highlighting any issues or concerns from completion or delay of RDD exercises.
  • Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations to embed Compliance Risk monitoring as an integral part of the business process.
  • Be responsive and agile in the implementation of changes to RNR, process or deployment of new platforms and functionality.
  • Contribute to process enhancement and increased digitization where possible through pro-active, ongoing review of existing systems and procedures.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 3+ experience in Trade Finance, Credit Management or Accounting/Auditing
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Exposure to open account trade with knowledge of receivables funding solutions and the associated risks.
  • Experience in sales ledger/AR data extraction from various accounting software packages preferable.
  • Experience in Receivables/Open Account finance preferable
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills with ability to adjust communication styles depending on type of target audience.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders including senior management.
  • Ability and willingness to think outside the defined exercise to identify both threats to and opportunities for the existing portfolio.
