The Derivatives LD and OTC Clearing team provides access to Morgan Stanley's Global Clearing Platform; a multi asset platform which allows clients to trade and clear listed derivatives and OTC products. The team covers a wide range of clients ranging from banks, insurance companies, asset managers and hedge funds. The team structurally sits within Morgan Stanley's Prime Brokerage organization with Business Unit professionals located across New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Australia. The team covers multi assets from Equities, Commodities, Rates, FX and other FX underliers. The clearing sales team works closely with our listed derivatives and OTC traders, and adjacent sales teams across Institutional Equities and Fixed Income in seeking for new opportunities and cross divisional pitches.
Sales and Marketing
The candidate will need to display a broad set of skills, though the main focus will be on technical and product knowledge, attention to detail, organization and communication both with client and internal stakeholders as well as an entrepreneurial flair with regards to seeking for new business and client opportunities.
Relationship Management and Onboarding
Relationship Management and the Onboarding process includes a number of steps and involves coordinating across a number of regional and global internal teams.
As part of the sales function, the candidate will be expected to be a project manager of the onboarding process to successfully enable our clients to clear trades through Morgan Stanley.
In relation to Client Relationship Management, the candidate will cover Hong Kong based clients to work on day-to-day derivative clearing inquiries from clients and managing long term client relationships. The responsibilities of relationship management include obtaining deep knowledge about client trading strategies, maximising wallet share and consulting clients on technical product and regulatory matters.

- Due diligence of trading strategy and profile
- Working with risk to analyze margin implications of portfolios
- Coordinating pricing proposals
- Implementing operational processes for clearing and related collateral management activities
- Finalizing legal documentation
- Enabling technology and middleware connectivity and functionality
