About the Department
UOB's Group Strategy and Transformation supports business units across the group to drive the strategic and transformation agenda. As a member of the Group Strategy and Transformation - Group Wholesale Transformation ("GSAT - GWB") team, you will be part of the team responsible to project manage some of the Group Wholesale Banking programs relating to the enhancement and build of strategic capabilities for Group Wholesale Banking business. You will be required to work with key stakeholders across the Group as well as external vendors to ensure successful and timely delivery of the programs. Active engagement and driving of interdependent and ad-hoc projects are also expected.

Job Responsibilities

Your day to day involves:
  • Collaborating with business and technology teams to develop strategic business capability roadmaps for Group Wholesale Banking
  • Formalizing these strategic papers for approval at management committees
  • Partnering cross functional squads to execute and deliver these capabilities end to end with quality and in a timely manner (including system delivery, target operating model and commercialization).
  • De-risking program delivery, including issue resolution and escalation where required
  • Driving transparency and closer collaboration between interdependent programs to ensure success in the overall GWB portfolio
  • Contributing to team development (culture, knowledge, training, recruitment etc)
  • Other ad hoc projects


Job Requirements

You are, or have:
  • A strong consultancy or project management background with at least 15 to 20 years of experience in banking/financial industry
  • Prior experience in wholesale banking business and systems
  • Highly organized, able to multi task, and have a proven track record in driving and executing complex strategic programs
  • Effective in cross functional stakeholder management and are a strong influencer - proven track record of influencing decisions and opinions of key stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including making C-suite presentations. Ability to communicate openly, and articulate concepts / complex ideas in a concise and impactful manner
  • An intelligent self-starter with resilience and resourcefulness
  • A growth mindset to provide different perspectives to challenge the status quo, spar ideas and collaboratively devise innovative solutions
  • Full of positive energy and passionate about driving change. You will inspire and align cross functional teams to design then delivery their co-created ambitions.
