Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Drive tooling and automation initiatives across the infrastructure to improve operational efficiency
- Responsible in crafting, writing, and automating test cases for specific issues/scenarios
- Able to lead a complete functional area of an application or product
- Liaise and communicate across many teams while driving multiple projects
- Quickly grasp, and distil highly-complex matters into clean, understandable solutions, delivering clearly detailed test plans
- Involve in tackling everyday problems in innovative ways
- Laser-focused on the smallest details that are significant to infrastructure operations
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent
- At least 5 years in a tooling/automation role and at least one IT discipline (Engineering, Programming, Systems Analysis, Database Administration, etc.)
- Experience in/using python/C/C++ and/or Java
- Experience in scripting/PowerShell
- Experience in Configuration Management and Orchestration tools (Ansible / Terraform)
- In-depth understanding of Windows, OS X, and/or Unix/Linux
- Understand Git and other system software
- Results oriented and excellent debugging skills
- Working knowledge of technical infrastructures and network systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft and VMware server technologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft and Apple client device technologies
- Knowledge of infrastructure platform tools and technologies (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Nagios)
- Full system lifecycle perspective and experience
- Diligent and inquisitive with a desire to learn
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (to work with various cross-functional teams)
