The MIS Research Group manages research operations for MIS globally. Its Research Writers work closely with credit analysts, focusing on specific coverage areas such as corporates, structured finance, public, project and infrastructure finance, sovereigns, or financial institutions.

We are looking for a candidate with an interest in and understanding of financial institutions focusing on the Asia-Pacific region with an emphasis on China. The role requires flawless writing/editing skills and a strong eye for detail. In addition, interest and experience in the editorial production of podcasts and other digital assets is an advantage. There may also be opportunities to host/moderate such digital assets.
  • A relevant university degree, such as economics, business, finance, or journalism
  • Candidates from academia with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in financial journalism or financial writing, reporting, and editing within a reputable news or research organisation
  • Interest in and experience in handling the editorial production of podcasts and/or other digital assets, and potentially also hosting/moderating them, would be an advantage
  • Candidates must have a strong understanding of capital markets and debt markets, preferably with a focus on government risk and macroeconomics.
  • Strong writing skills, including headline-writing and copy-editing, are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to in-house publishing programs.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels

  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Work using own initiative and without close supervision
