Wealth Segment Description
The Wealth team is responsible for understanding market trends and client needs across Asia-Pacific's diverse Wealth markets and translating these into commercial opportunities for our business. The team works with regional distributors and banks, as well as global private banks and insurers to offer the full range of BlackRock active funds, ETFs and alternatives products.
We partner with clients to build bespoke solutions that meet their specific needs, while offering model portfolios and discretionary investment offerings backed by our market-leading in-house technology and risk analytics. The team sits across Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China Offshore, Australia and Japan, and works closely with colleagues around the globe to deliver the best of BlackRock to APAC Wealth investors.
Job Purpose/Background:
BlackRock's APAC Wealth business is looking for an experienced Head of Sales Strategy and Planning to lead cross-organizational efforts on sales strategy, planning and support across our regional business.
Reporting to the Wealth APAC COO, the candidate is expected to lead a team of junior professionals focused on supporting our 'front-line' sales efforts. The role requires close collaboration with BlackRock's sales teams across APAC's diverse wealth markets to facilitate client relationship and account management. The successful candidate will oversee efforts across all the offices we operate from and will be focused on driving efficiency, quality, consistency, and scale in supporting our sales. The right candidate will also have a passion for talent development, providing an 'apprenticeship' platform that enables high potential junior team members to hone core skills and grow into roles across the rest of the APAC Wealth business.
The team supports all stages of the sales process, from partnering with Sales leaders on overall client strategy, through to account planning and sales campaign preparations, as well ongoing provision of marketing collateral and coordinating product and platform updates. It also acts as a key point of connection between clients, sales teams, and the broader firm - including product specialists, portfolio managers and our operations teams. The candidate should also be focused on identifying process improvements, the ability to pool resources, and potential automation opportunities to drive greater efficiencies and consistency across sales and sales support processes.
