The Role Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Business & Operations Strategy and planning for EE & DevOps portfolio.
  • Define the communications & engagement strategy for EE & DevOps that is in line with the Bank standards and initiatives.
Business Operations
  • Provide direct support to the Head of EE & DevOps on business operations including operating model, business planning, central coordination, Research/Analysis, HR Administration.
  • Act as main contact and information source in the team for:
    • Collation and submission of T&I and Group Scorecard in a timely manner while maintaining careful attention to detail and meeting organisational deadlines.
    • HR activities - Aid in People management activities for the function. Ensure demand/supply is managed effectively in support of business aspirations, investment and in line with location strategy.
    • Portfolio Finance Management (includes: budgets and cost centre management in collaboration with Portfolio Team to ensure overall portfolio is covered)
    • Portfolio Vendor Management - work in collaboration with T&I Vendor Management, ET Vendor Governance and EE & DevOps Portfolio Team to ensure all contracts have the due diligence completed and meet contract expiration timelines.
  • Undertake research, analysis of problems or opportunities and resolution of issues to support the portfolio.
  • Arrange MT/LT meetings, drive actions and advise team based on observations from the ground to increase effectiveness in decision making.
  • Manage operations across Singapore, India, Malaysia and China in collaboration with portfolio location leads.
Communications & Engagement
  • Provide subject matter expert advice, guidance and support on all matters related to EE & DevOps communications.
  • Be a central point of quality control and issuance of EE & DevOps communications, ensuring alignment of these communications with Group messages and themes.
  • Aid in providing overarching strategy and communications for Engineering Excellence Community to ensure in line with EE & DevOps strategy.
  • Drive engagement & development of our People Agenda (ie: drive behavioural and mindset, strong performance culture)
  • Drive an open culture and recognition of colleagues through events such as townhalls, Management Team connects, etc.
Transformation
  • To bring EE & DevOps to a certain maturity level as an agile organisation.
  • To drive engineering excellence strategy and agenda via Communities of Practice and events.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Background in Business Management with experience of 10 years in the relevant domains or similar organizations.
  • Previous experience in implementing organizational change across geographic boundaries is desirable.
  • Ability to operate at both at a strategic level and a detailed level.
  • Provide direct support to the Head of EE & DevOps on business operations including operating model, business planning, central coordination, Research/Analysis, HR Administration.
  • Provide subject matter expert advice, guidance and support on all matters related to EE & DevOps communications.
  • To drive engineering excellence strategy and agenda via Communities of Practice and events.
  • Maintain & Manage risk/audit issues across EE & Devops.
  • Good Knowledge of SCB organization processes and practices.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Strong consumer and product awareness
  • Have a high level of attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are adept at building relationships with different stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of technology terminology, to be able to engage technology experts and get what they are talking about
  • Good knowledge of SCB organisation
