The Role: Market Development Analyst, APAC Credit and Risk Solutions

The Team:

Credit Solutions (CS) business lines are a suite of products focused on the intellectual property from S&P Global Ratings (Credit Ratings, Research and supporting information) through desktop, Excel, and Enterprise platforms including RatingsDirect, RatingsXpress, CreditPro and others, that are leveraged by market participants to assess, manage, and monitor the credit risk of fixed income investments and lending/counterparty exposures across many industry segments and workflows.

The Impact:

The Market Development Analyst helps define and execute market development strategies to spearhead business growth within the Credit Solutions business lines in Asia-Pacific. The role will contribute to market development through helping define, examine and analyze the existing business and potential new markets as part of the business planning lifecycle. The role will drive penetration and expansion of the RatingsDirect, RatingsXpress and Credit Solutions products through proactive market development, including monitoring market trends, producing thought leadership and competitive analysis and business analysis. He/She/They will be responsible for defining APAC market development strategies and roadmap to support the APAC CS Market Development business owner and to increase penetration and adoption of our CS offerings in partnership with the C&RS and MI Commercial and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive Credit Solutions ACV and Revenue targets for products and market development initiatives in APAC, create, maintain, and nurture strategic account relationships in partnership with the C&RS Commercial team. Monitor and build pipeline, support deal close, and product adoption. Enable the migration and adoption of RatingsDirect on CIQ Pro as well as new and emerging ratings content sets via enterprise channels.
  • Own Go-To-Market activities for prioritized initiatives. Identify market opportunities, develop marketing campaigns and target lists, produce thought leadership, and drive product adoption in partnership with the commercial and marketing teams. Represent the business at key industry events. Identify and monitor industry and market trends.
  • Participate in the creation of product and marketing collateral, including user guides, release notes, client newsletters, etc.
  • Ensure commercial team field readiness for product launches and the existing suite in the region working with the Education, Product, and the Global Market Development team.
  • Contribute to the development of the product roadmap for the Credit Solutions lines of business. Prioritize market needs, size market opportunities, and assess and monitor competitors. Work with the Credit Solutions Product and Content team to prioritize and deliver requirements. Provide ongoing market feedback on the product strategy and development process through client interaction and dedicated market outreach.
  • Contribute to Credit Solutions business strategy.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification (in Finance preferred, not required)
  • Proven market development skills: experience working with commercial organizations, developing and executing market development plans and Go-To-Market initiatives (marketing campaigns, thought leadership, industry analysis, pricing, market sizing), and supporting commercial opportunities
  • Experience with B2B data and analytic business in the Credit Risk industry
  • Proven client facing, project management and organizational skills
  • A solid understanding of business procedures and operations
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Highly collaborative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
