Compliance Officer

The role requires a subject matter expert on MAS regulations and policies, be the liaison with MAS and other regulatory authorities and be strategic in advising management on enhancements and recommending new compliance related initiatives. This requires an in-depth understanding of the firm's business.

Core responsibilities are:

• Represent and interact with examiners/auditors during internal, external, and regulatory examinations
• Identify gaps / areas for improvement and propose appropriate course of action
• Stay informed about regulatory developments and advise management and employees where necessary
• Keep compliance policies and procedures up to date
• Review and assist on regulatory filings and related communications
• Review and draft licensing applications
• Ascertain training needs and conduct training necessary for staff and management
• Drive and manage compliance related projects
• Assume broader work or accountabilities assigned by management as needed.
