AVP - Integration Lead

The Applications Development Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of Applications Development professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, training and development, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as act as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts
• Oversee process for technical issue escalation and prioritize technical issue resolution
• Leverage skills across Applications Development area to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
• Communicate internal and external departmental interdependence as well as cross product and cross project
• Resolve issues using in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within applications development
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
• Contribute to planning, budget management, formulation of procedures, and resource planning negotiating with external parties when necessary
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Ability to take ownership and make technical decisions on software development projects
• Experience with dependency management, change management, continuous integration testing tools, and audit/compliance requirements
• Extensive knowledge of software engineering and object-oriented design
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

v Deep knowledge of Java-8, Apache Camel, Spring Boot practices and commonly used modules and frameworks based on extensive work experience
v Proficiency with Java-8, Spring Boot and Enterprise Integration patterns(EIP) with latest versions, micro-services along with other related open-source technologies
v Good knowledge on Design patterns and micro-service architecture to have most efficient and highly scalable applications
v Experience in leading and mentoring large teams.
v Professional, precise communication skills
v Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components in highly scalable containerization environment
v Extensive knowledge of Openshift/Docker or any other containerization technology is required
v Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
v Validating user actions on the client side and providing responsive feedback
v Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed
v Creating custom, general re-usable modules, libraries and components which extend the elements, modules and functionalities of core Integration technologies
v Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and performance tuning
v Understanding of code versioning tools, such as TFS, Git, BitBucket
v Good understanding of latest technologies use-cases that can be implemented to achieve business requirements
v Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
v Familiarity with cloud APIs and push notifications
v A team player, fast learner with good verbal and written communication skills
v Should have hands on experience in Linux commands; RHEL-7 is preferred
v Should have good understanding of container orchestration to handle lifecycle of applications in container; Kubernetes would be plus
v Should have extension, critical situation and real-time troubleshooting skills
