Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank's risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Bridge RMG-OR and technology teams, understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions in terms of system enhancements, resolve system production issues in an Agile manner.
- Perform UAT for system-related changes prior to implementation.
- Drive discussions with stakeholders to gather user requirements; prepare presentation materials and provide status updates.
- Lead, conceptualise and execute analytics initiatives (including application of machine learning, artificial intelligence) to transform the operational risk management tools and processes, working together with data scientists.
- Support the team in expense management and budget process including monthly accruals, GL reconciliation, monitoring of expenses, etc.
- University degree with major study in Finance, Statistics, Technology or related quantitative disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in financial institutions and/or handling systemrelated work.
- Good inter-personal skills, with ability to work with people of different levels.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Meticulous, structured and systematic individual with an eye for detail.
- Positive attitude to explore changes for improvement and challenge status quo.
- Analytical and able to identify/solve system issues together with technology partners.
- Team player who can also work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint); proficiency in data visualization tools (such as Qlikview and/or Tableau) will be an advantage.
