Job Overview
Bank of Singapore's Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) business has grown significantly, and as a result the team is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking individual to join the team.
The new team member will be responsible for helping to build efficiencies into the DPM platform to improve client experience; help to enhance DPM marketing content and collateral; be involved in DPM product development; as well as act as an intermediary between the Portfolio Managers and the Relationship Managers, assisting with communicating key market and portfolio updates, and producing thought leadership pieces on DPM.
In addition, the candidate must have a strong interest in data, with knowledge of data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlikview. They must have the ability to build data dashboards, and draw insights from data to take a more customised and targeted approach to meeting our client's needs.

Platform / Client Experience
  • With clients becoming increasingly digital in their interactions with the bank, the incumbent will be involved in strategic projects that help to build out and enhance the DPM platform, and deliver improvements in client experience, and improvements in the way that we communicate with our clients
DPM Content and Product Development
  • Prepare and maintain DPM marketing and client materials including pitchbooks, presentations, proposals, client reporting, and performance commentaries.
  • Support new business and client communication efforts, including development of materials to help the Front Office explain portfolio strategy, risk and performance to clients of various levels of sophistication
  • In conjunction with the DPM and MI Advisory teams, assist with new product ideation and product development
Advisory and Sales
  • Be a liaison between the DPM team and Front Office, articulating investment philosophy, process, performance, positioning and market outlook, as well as proactively identifying opportunities or client interest
  • To grow and scale the DPM business, and increase penetration in client portfolios through marketing and providing quality advice to RMs and clients
  • Work closely with DPM and MI Advisory teams to develop strategies for business retention. This includes developing appropriate measures for analyzing performance, and articulating verbally and in written form the rationale for strategy positioning and performance
  • Undertake group sales meetings with RMs from designated markets to provide them with DPM ideas and updates
Data Analysis
  • Analyse business data and highlight any observable trends to the business to assist with planning and strategic initiatives
  • Incorporate a 'targeted' approach to advisory, using data to customise ideas to specific RMs and clients


Qualifications
  • Good degree from a good university in a relevant field
  • CFA qualifications preferred
Competency Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in Asset Management/Private Bank as a product specialist, with experience in client engagement and customer experience
  • Strong investment background, with solid knowledge of DPM and/or mutual funds across global equities, fixed income and alternative asset classes.
  • Experience with and keen interest in digital projects and building out of digital solutions
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau and/or Qlikview with the ability to interpret this data and draw conclusions
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to project a high level of professionalism, and effectively communicate with clients, portfolio managers and management in small and large settings.
  • Experience in Python or similar coding language will be looked upon favourably
