As a Barclays Support Analyst working within Trade Floor Support you will form part of our technology team providing dedicated application support to front office trading in primary Barclays' locations across the globe, supporting Credit, Securitized Product, Fixed Income, FX, and Commodities businesses. you will integrate with the wider Investment Banking Function team who strive to be a partner in driving resolution of business challenges and leaders in delivering high risk complex change.

What will you be doing?

• Providing seamless end to end support service for front office users, as well as for trading desk
• Supporting investigations of trader related issues and resolving
• Engaging with application owners to provide effective issue and problem management and rapid resolution
• Providing advisory services to trading desk for functional use cases and configuration of Trading Systems
• Managing of business critical real-time trading systems, identifying issues and potential problem areas.
• Login and tracking incidents and problems including, tracking outstanding issues and working with the appropriate group to achieve resolution of them
• Monitoring to ensure full availability including Start of day morning check and health monitoring
• Engaging with Front Office management teams to ensure proactive management of SLA's, capacity, performance and BCM planning

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in application support, preferably supporting trading systems
• Good understanding of concepts of trading business and end to end business process and workflows
• Good working knowledge of operating system platforms (UNIX, Linux, SQL, Windows). Familiarity and experience with scripting languages such as python.
• Previous Understanding in high level languages such as C#, java etc

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Financial knowledge of Fixed Income products end to end trade workflow, including Knowledge of other asset classes such as FX, Commodities or Credit an advantage
• Good understanding of concepts of financial products risk management, awareness of financial instrument pricing, concepts of market data in front office applications
• Advanced Excel / VBA skills would be advantageous including data analytics in Excel
• Experience of market data systems such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters
