The Business Analysis Lead has end-to end responsibility for the understanding, analysis & documenting business requirements. Additionally, the Lead Business Analyst has responsibility for configuration of products and business rules in the systems.

The client is a Global Insurance Organisation who are hiring a Lead IT Business Analyst for a digital retail platorm initiatives. This is a regional role and a permanent position based in Singapore. This person will be looking after a team of four people.
The Business Analysis Lead has end-to end responsibility for the understanding, analysis & documenting business requirements. Additionally, the Lead Business Analyst has responsibility for configuration of products and business rules in the systems.
Responsibilities:
- Coach Business Analysts on effective ways of working, usage of templates, completeness and accuracy of requirements etc.
- Build business requirements templates and processes for reuse across the team
- Engage with business stakeholders on product & process business requirements
- Analyze requirements including identifying gaps in business input.
- Identify opportunities to automate and/or simplify business processes
- Make pragmatic and delivery focused decisions. Communicate and obtain buy-in from Business stakeholders.
- Build in-depth knowledge and expertise on configuration techniques of products and processes in the systems (extensive training will be provided)
- Create templates to document product data required to create new products - ie data required for quotations, policies, claims etc.
- Create templates to document business rules to enable business processes and rules based automation of business processes
- Review work of business analysts for completeness, accuracy and understandability
- Work with IT Vendors, partners and internal delivery teams in ensuring pragmatic project delivery.
- Prior experience in Insurance as a Senior Business Analyst.
- Prior experience in Financial Services indusrtry. Insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working on regional digital initiatives with an Financial Services company (Insurance is highly desirable)
- Prior coding experience (any technology) highly regarded though not essential
- Recent experience in Agile delivery highly regarded
- Prior experience with writing user stories highly regarded
- Understanding of IT project delivery and agile / DevOps methodologies
