Position Overview:

Join a leading, global infrastructure investor and developer focused on PPP projects as Associate Director of Project Finance supporting APAC and ME . This is a newly created position in Singapore, so you will be joining in a fresh position where you will have the ability to set the procedural standards for the Southeast Asia team and make a lasting impact on the business during a time of fast growth. You will be working directly under the Country CEO who is one of the most professional and well-networked Project Finance professionals in Singapore.

Working in a primarily development-focused company, you will be responsible for leading and supporting both debt and equity project finance for greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities:
  • Leverage existing relationships with banks, development funds, ECAs, private equity, insurance companies, and other lenders to source suitable project financing
  • Work with senior management to prioritize approaches to various lenders
  • Guide and oversee the analyst/associates in both Singapore and abroad who will produce financial models for you; stress test their models
  • Coach and mentor junior team members and be part of the hiring process as the team expands
  • Identify and mitigate risks including regulatory, forex, insurance, sanctions, etc
  • Negotiate complex financial terms and structuring arrangements for infrastructure transactions
  • Manage transactions through the research, due diligence, structuring, credit and documentation stages
  • Manage external service providers including technical due diligence, legal, and E&S consultants as well as lender's commercial and technical teams
Requirements:

  • Likely 8-15 years of overall work experience
  • Experience working with new-build (greenfield or brownfield) infrastructure projects in Southeast Asia such as hospitals, wastewater treatment, metro rail, roads, schools, and convention centers
  • Experience with infrastructure projects in the Middle East also a plus
  • Buy-side experience primarily

  • Must be comfortable working in a start-up environment where you will be hands-on as analyst/associate support may be a few time zones away and not readily available when you need it
MUST BE CURRENTLY BASED IN SINGAPORE. NO OVERSEAS RELOCATION BUDGET. SINGAPOREANS AND PRS HIGHLY PREFERRED.

Please note: this is an Infrastructure Development company, not a bank or Big 4 consultancy. The title of Associate Director at 8+ years of work experience is typical for this industry.
