Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting operation and monthly financial closing and annual audit process
- Prepare accounting entries in the accounting system, the reconciliation of cash, securities, and crypto assets for multiple entities. Crypto experience and knowledge is a plus, but not necessary
- Perform financial statement preparation for all licensed corporations
- Provide various managerial statements and analysis as requested for the Group on the different lines of businesses to ensure timely and accurate disclosure of financial information, performance evaluation, and decision making
- Work closely with External auditors and key third party professional advisors
- Work with the business teams and HK Treasury to open/ maintain the bank accounts for business needs. Able to maintain strong relationship with respective Bankers/ Bank RMs.
- Organize tax planning and direct subordinates to implement tax issues to ensure timeliness and legitimacy of tax reporting and tax minimization
- Prepare regulatory returns, forecast / monitor regulatory capital levels, and handle the enquiries from MAS i.e. need to be familiar with CMS (Capital Markets Services) and PSA (Payment Services Act) regulatory reporting requirements
- Set up accounting policies and control procedures, improving existing processes, and inter-company settlement monitoring
- Assist in preparing overall financial budgeting in accordance with company medium- and long-term plan in order to provide financial analysis support for business
Qualifications
- Degree holder in Accounting or Finance, and CPA license holder
- Minimum 8 years of finance and accounting experience in managerial level with banking/FI and audit experience with Big 4 audit firm
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to work independently and multi-task in a complex, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical skills and be comfortable utilizing different software systems; knowledge on FlexAccount system is an advantage
- Extremely self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility and able to work under pressure
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, Cantonese is a plus
