Who we are looking for
The AIS Centralized Pricing (CP) team is responsible for supporting fund of hedge fund teams globally in the set-up of securities, maintenance of hedge fund liquidity data and entry of pricing data. The senior associate will operate as a senior member of the CP team assisting in the completion of accurate pricing, security set up and liquidity information for fund of funds investments while overseeing associate level tasks and contributing to the development of the team.

As AIS Centralized Pricing, Senior Associate you will be undertake:

  • Approve security set up and pricing entered by the team.
  • Ensure prices are entered and approved within agreed service level.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely set up of new fund, classes and series.
  • Assist the team with pricing and manage the inbox as required.
  • Assist in the resolution of complex queries while aiding/training staff.
  • Ensure pricing errors are logged correctly daily on the issue log.
  • Review and signoff on the end of day checklist.
  • Ensure client liquidity reviews are completed within agreed service level.
  • Timely resolution of internal and external client liquidity queries.
  • Assist with the creation of and updates to standard operating procedures.
  • Gather and analyze system / process improvement requirements to solve business challenges.
  • Attend bi-weekly/monthly managers meetings, monthly CP team meetings, and 1x1 performance management meetings.
  • Participate in departmental projects, support the onboarding of new clients and fund launches.
  • Manage personal development by attending training courses and complete mandatory training requirements.
  • Provide training to new hires.
  • Ensure new hires are fully trained on all CP tasks and working independently within three months of the hire date.


Impact:
  • The senior associate is required to work to tight deadlines, and have the ability to multi task and work calmly under pressure.
  • The senior associate will act as an escalation point for the associates to resolve pricing issues.
  • They will need to communicate with external and internal clients to resolve complex pricing and security set-up queries as received.
  • The process for resolving issues will include conducting research in AlphaFrontier and contacting internal clients or 3rd party administrators to confirm details This research will enable the senior associate to analyze the problem, obtain and evaluate information and reach sound conclusions.

The Global Security Master and Centralized Pricing team is responsible for supporting Fund of Hedge Fund teams globally in the setup of securities, maintenance of hedge fund liquidity data and entry of pricing data.

The officer is responsible for managing the global team to ensure all tasks are completed to the satisfaction of our internal and external clients.

Why this role is important to us
As AIS Centralized Pricing, Officer you will be undertake:
  • Account for the day-to day management of global team members ensuring all daily tasks are completed. Assist the team with approving prices and security set up as required. Ensure all processing deadlines for pricing and security set up are completed accurately. Complete final review and signoff for the end of day checklist. Resolve complex escalated queries and ensure timely resolution of issues. Create and distribute monthly task schedule across all locations Coordinate efforts with the three offices during vacation/absences, for adequate coverage. Ensure that procedures are in place, up to date and adhered to by the global teams.
  • Lead and review process/systems, client interactions to look for improvements and effectively lead the team to discuss and implement
    Propose procedural changes to management with a focus on reducing risk, manual inputs, and increasing efficiencies. Identify learning opportunities from mistakes such a pricing errors and address them at team meetings. Create and facilitate training presentations
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with internal clients by conducting monthly internal calls and annual client surveys.
    Calculate FTE requirements for new client's onboarding and or new portfolio launches. Attend client visits. Provide outstanding client service to both internal and external clients related to reporting and inquiries.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting.
  • Attend bi-weekly/monthly managers meetings, monthly CP team meetings, and 1x1 performance management meetings.
  • Monthly 1x1 performance management meetings with direct reports. Annual performance management review with direct reports. Participate in department wide training efforts - actively attend and complete all required training courses and provide feedback.

Impact:
  • The officer will act in accordance with risk excellence and role model ethical behaviour, decision making, and deliver key messages and communication effectively to ensure understanding and staff engagement.
  • The officer will ensure cross training is completed across all teams globally, and assist with the training of new hires.
  • The officer will create continuous improvement forums enabling the global teams to identify and recommend opportunities.

Decisions/Skills in Operation:
  • Set process and procedures are in place, however if the senior associates identifies process improvements that can be made, or the process doesn't apply to a specific client, then they are encouraged to make recommendations to the officer.
  • Senior associates will escalate issues to the officer if needed outside of standard procedures. No decision should be made without the Officer's approval if it falls outside the standard procedures.
  • The senior associate has full accountability for the reviews they complete on work done by the associates to ensure pricing accuracy.
  • Where required senior associates will assist the associates with managing the inbox/download statements from web-portals and pricing in order to ensure deadlines are met and all tasks are completed.


Communication Network:
  • Daily interactions with internal departments and external clients/3rd party investment managers and administrators to ensure effective and clear communication at all times for accurate and timely security set up and pricing .
  • Participate in team meetings, all staff meetings, project meetings, etc.
  • Provide feedback to the officer on team performances.

Innovation:
  • Review technology requirements in order to improve efficiencies in our daily tasks.
  • Continually look at ways to reduce errors
  • Review SOP's and identify areas of improvement in our processes.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-3 years related experience including previous experience managing staff
  • Experience managing a daily operation while providing support for business unit process improvement projects is preferred
  • Strong numerical, analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Highly computer literate with an intermediate knowledge of excel and word (minimum requirement)
  • Skilled communicator, both verbal and written with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Confident and decisive
  • Minimum Required: College, University Degree ( Preferred)
