Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop the Asia Risk Management strategy to directly support the organization's business objectives, while fostering a practice of continuous improvement
- Define and track key metrics regarding insurance costs and renewal information, leading indicators, market trends and portfolio company loss trends to proactively optimize insurance programs, including the use of traditional insurance, captives, and insurance-linked securities as appropriate
- Procure and administer all insurance programs, considering the results of actuarial and other relevant data analysis
- Direct services provided by insurance brokers and other key Risk Management vendors, as well as maintaining relationships with key carrier partners. Evaluate and manage broker performance with respect to performance and servicing, including claims oversight
- Oversee management of claims, including managing third-party administrators and complex claims
- Oversee insurance due diligence and insurance compliance negotiation of financings, as well as insurance placement and onboarding of acquisitions, as well as divestitures and refinancing's
- Develop and direct the Asia Risk Management organization, including establishing the organizational structure, overseeing all Risk team members, processes, and procedures. Support professional development and succession planning
- Communicate Risk Management updates to Revantage Management and Portfolio Company Management on a regular basis, and more frequently as appropriate. Communications include procurement results, and other relevant metrics, as well as insurance market trends and portfolio loss trends, and portfolio company loss control opportunities
- Collaborate and consult with Revantage portfolio companies and other business partners
- Oversee the collection, maintenance, and analysis of insurance data, preferably in a risk management information system (RMIS)
- Act as an owner; must be a leader for the firm, willing to participate in initiatives outside of immediate job scope
- Must possess executive-level communication skills, including the ability to quickly adjust messages and style based on different audiences and agendas
- The ability to lead, drive culture, develop and expand a team of professionals to deliver exceptional performance
Qualifications:
- At least 12+ years' Risk Management and Claims experience
- Four-year degree from an accredited college/business/technical scope
- Master's Degree or Chartered Property Casualty underwriter designation preferred
- Significant experience in leading risk management and insurance functions
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the real estate industries and sectors, including the main products and services
- First-class interpersonal skills, including relationship building and management
- Demonstrated leadership skills, and strong team player
- Effective reasoning, and decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and follow up in a timely manner
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where superior time management and prioritization skills are required
- Proficient using the MS Office suite including Excel, working knowledge of RMIS preferred
