We are hiring an VP, Data Sourcing & Lifecycle Manager, this role will play a key role in the Data Management team delivering trustworthy data for the organization.

In your new role, you will play an integral role in managing data sourcing, vendor management and data onboarding. Including areas such as data catalogue and vendor management, configure data licensing controls, marking data sets to support regulatory, PPDA and ethical data standards.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with GIC's procurement teams to build and operate a vendor management framework, maintaining data issues logs, conduct periodic review of data products, and managing escalations of vendors where required.
  • Lead the onboarding of new data products, coordinate procurement and data for the ETL Teams. Including, but not limited to reviewing data usage, terminating unused data products, enforcing data governance standards from onset of data procurement, data retention policies, data ownerships and stewardships roles of stakeholders and colleagues
  • Engage with data consumers to assess and review data requirements whilst sourcing data and recommending data for procurements
  • Create and maintain data scorecards to drive vendor product quality through data scoring, quality consultations and recommendations for data users
  • Manage and update data catalogue, data dictionary and supporting systems to present data across the firm, whilst managing data risk and supporting data audits

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in vendor management, sourcing data and contract management, with a good working knowledge of data quality standards. Project management qualifications and demonstratable experience managing implementations projects is preferred
  • Strong communication and people engagement skills to interact with stakeholders, senior management, business end-users, data analysts and vendors to design and develop solutions
  • Experience with data structures, data normalisation, RDBMS databases such as Oracle, MS-SQL or MySQL
  • Agile, meticulous, organized and works well with details
