The Human Resource & Organization Department champions the people agenda for GIC. We are organized by strategic HR domains and work in partnership with business groups to manage talent and build impactful teams. Our HR domains are: Talent & Organization Strategies, GIC School, People Analytics & Solutions, Talent Acquisition, Graduate Recruitment, HR Business Partnership, People Analytics & Solutions and People Operations & Advisory.

This role is accountable for driving initiatives relating to talent engagement, learning and development of junior investment professionals (Analysts, Associates and AVPs) from the global Real Estate (RE) Investment teams. GIC RE invests in real estate and real estate-related assets outside of Singapore, with offices in 10 different cities across the world. The individual will coordinate and execute efforts relating to capability development and engagement, which includes talent management & development, and engagement with various internal stakeholders to ensure success of the junior pipeline for RE. This role has dual reporting to RE's CIO Office and HROD's Senior HR Business Partner for RE.

Responsibilities

Capability Development
  • Partner with Global RE Leadership and RE HR Business Partners in securing learning and development programs budget and program planning
  • Partner with Global RE Leadership and RE HR Business Partners in developing and supporting training and learning strategies aligned to business needs and objectives
  • Develop and support implementation of learning journeys globally and create learning and networking opportunities for the junior population
  • Partner with RE stakeholders and RE HR Business Partners to identify and coordinate opportunities for talent development through internal mobility

Graduate Program and Onboarding
  • Partner with RE stakeholders and Graduate Recruitment team to coordinate graduate/internship program rotations and collect, analyze and share feedback, trends and opportunities for program improvements
  • Work with GIC School in developing and rolling out a robust onboarding experience for all new joiners across RE including RE Essentials and reviewing and updating the Global RE onboarding curriculum

Talent Engagement
  • Partner with RE HR Business Partners to develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement within RE to ensure talent retention
  • Provide guidance and institutionalize processes for RE managers to engage junior talent
  • Enhance program experience with initiatives such as mentorship and buddy programs

Requirements
  • Demonstrable passion for junior development is a must with experience in managing junior/campus cohorts, developing learning pathways and managing rotational programs.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical ability - Proven capability to identify business trends and opportunities using data and technology and developing talent strategies and initiatives to support business goals and objectives
  • Strong client focus - able to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence. Experience in partnering with senior leaders in the development and implementation of talent strategies.
  • Communication - able to articulate ideas clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings and styles and strong influence, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Accountability - assumes ownership for achieving results and collective goals.
  • Teamwork - acts as a catalyst for formulating a collaborative environment to achieve a common purpose across cross functional teams
