Role Responsibilities
This is a stress testing role that sits within Group FP&A. Stress testing is a comprehensive process that evaluates the capital adequacy and liquidity position of a bank under a severe but plausible stress scenario. Stress testing at the group level covers important regulatory exercises annually such as Group ICAAP, the BoE Stress Test, Recovery Plan Stress Test as well as adhoc management stress tests. The scope for this role is on Consumer, Private and Business Banking (CPBB) and the coverage is on credit risk.
Role and responsibility include but not limited to the following
  • Support CPBB on Enterprise Stress Testing and scenario analysis.
  • Engagement with Product Heads and CRO team to review stress test results and provide advisory on the impact of stress for the respective products and CPBB collectively.
  • Product coverage includes mortgage loans, credit cards, personal loans, business banking loans and wealth secured lending.
  • Drive credit risk projections on EAD, PD, LGD, ECL, LI and RWA.
  • Socialise results with stakeholders through a robust review and challenge process.
  • Analyse and present results for forums and committees (CPBB Stress Testing Forum, Group Stress Testing Forum, Group Risk Committee).
  • Support data providers on data quality issues and enhancement of data granularity.
  • Support model owner(s) on model life cycle activities (change management, development, testing, validation, monitoring, etc).

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 8+ years of banking Exp.
  • Degree in a numerate discipline (eg. statistics, economics, mathematics or financial engineering).
  • CFA, FRM and PRM will be considered favourably.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Knowledge on Credit Risk, IFRS9 and Basel IRB.
  • Knowledge on retail banking products.
  • Knowledge on balance sheet.
  • MS Excel.
  • Critical Thinking and Analytical skills.
  • Communication and Presentation skills.
