We are looking for a Senior Compliance Analyst to join the Regulatory Compliance team based in Singapore. Reporting to the Compliance Officer, this role will support efforts by developing and implementing a compliance monitoring program for Franklin Templeton's (FT) business units to enable them to ensure that their activities comply with all pertinent legal and regulatory requirements as well as FT's internal policies and procedures. As part of the Regulatory Compliance team, the role will support in assisting Franklin Templeton's boards of directors, senior management, and business unit leaders to effectively manage the compliance risks to FT, its subsidiaries and respective functional business units.

This incumbent will also assist the Compliance Officer to ensure the local compliance framework is in line with regulatory requirements and FT standards. This role will have opportunities to work with other members across EMEA and APAC on various compliance projects and initiatives to support our business partners.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
  • Perform preliminary local compliance risk assessments
  • Develop and implement compliance monitoring programs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Analyze and report forensic testing results
  • Assist in assessing the quality and effectiveness of local policies and procedures
  • Review and update local compliance manuals, policies, and procedures where appropriate
  • Review marketing materials and financial promotions to ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Provide compliance advice and support to business partners
  • Provide internal compliance training
  • Liaise with regulators such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Central Provident Fund
  • Administer daily licensing-related matters in a timely manner, including preparing applications for individuals and filing annual returns to ensure compliance with local requirements
  • Compile regulatory compliance reports to regulators, auditors, clients and trustees
  • Prepare compliance reports and certifications
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to support our business partners; and
  • Any other relevant compliance and administrative tasks


What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
  • Degree or equivalent qualifications in relevant disciplines
  • At least 4 years of work experience in in the financial services industry, preferably gained through practical experience in asset management companies and/or regulatory authorities and/or audit firms
  • Knowledge of regulations and guidelines in Singapore
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (essential) and fund management systems (preferred)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (preferred but not essential) due to the requirement to review compliance manuals and marketing materials
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-organized and excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive and independent
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
