Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for client engagement, end-to-end management and delivery of the technology Book of Work for the application and dependent/related interfaces
• Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring etc)
• Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
• Work proactively with stakeholders in Business and Technology to anticipate and mitigate delivery and implementation risks
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
• Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
• Ensures essential Citi-wide program and project management procedures are followed
• Exceptional planning skills and the ability conceptualize comprehensive test scenarios are crucial to this role
• Experience in the Banking domain is essential
• Understanding of the Corporate finance / Treasury domains or concepts like Transfer Pricing, Liquidity Risk and Interest Rate Risk management will be of value

Qualifications:

• 14+ years of experience
• Comprehensive experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
• Comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within technology
• Proven interpersonal, management and prioritization skills
• Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure managing multiple activities and changing priorities
• Proven ability to develop working relationships and approach work methodically with attention to detail
• Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master's degree preferred
