Our client is a highly well-known name within the investment research and investment management services space. They are at an exciting phase where there is plenty of room to make an impact, collaborate with the regional team.

We are hiring for a Fund Manager Research Analyst, who will play a key role in researching fund managers in the cross-border fund markets. The research process involves conducting fund due diligence, interviewing global fund managers, writing research reports, and presenting the research to internal and external stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • To research and critically assess fund managers and their products that are primarily managed in Asia
  • To lead fund manager interviews and write succinct and reader-friendly rating notes and research reports on 35 investment strategies per year
  • To play a lead role in formulating and justifying our opinions on investment strategies to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Face off media and regulators independently on behalf of the Singapore office where all manager research role is concerned

Qualifications
  • A passion for investing and for helping investors make better investment decisions.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in an analytical capacity, such as Investment Research, Fund Analyst in a Private Bank etc, or as a management trainee of a financial industry.
  • A solid understanding of Asia-based investment managers, and demonstrated expertisein equities, fixed income, multi-asset class would be viewed favourably.
  • Strong English writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to think and writecreatively. Mandarin is a plus as you will also be looking into North Asian strategies.
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in a finance or business-related discipline, with an interest in pursuing CFA or other relevant postgraduate studies
