Morgan McKinley is working with a European Private Bank who is currently looking to hire a credit admin professional to join their team to help with the day to day work.
Contract duration: 6 months
Job description
- Manage daily margin and limit excesses + collateral maintenance
- Send margin call notices / enforcement letters to clients via Relationship Managers (RM)
- Liaise with RMs to follow up on measures to be taken to regularize excesses (margin and limit excesses) + support RMs in business related queries
- Perform tracking /monitoring/escalation of covenants, internal approval conditions
- Prepare and be responsible for monthly internal MI reports, trackers and external regulatory credit reports to be submitted to CAC Asia, Head Office and regulators.
- Assist to develop/enhance processes, controls and reports to monitor risk exposures / approval conditions
- Close collaboration with Credit Structuring team, traders, legal and compliance on exceptional conditions monitoring issues, clients' trading position and regulatory issues respectively
- Input and maintain credit limits and other credit parameters such as risk groups, cross pledges, pricing, mortgages etc. in the system
- Perform portfolio analyses and market / issuer risk event monitoring for early identification of emerging collateral risks
- Perform analysis of marketable securities (stocks, bonds. structured products, mutual & hedge funds) for possible assignment of standard lending and weighting rates
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a credit risk/control position, ideally within the Private Banking/ Wealth Management sector.
- Proficient technically, especially strong in Microsoft Excel. Ability to use Bloomberg and macro programming skills will be an added advantage
- Ability to handle margin and limit excesses in challenging market environments
- Good understanding of credit processes and policies
