Role Responsibilities
This role is part of a centralised team in Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing ("CABM"). The team's aim is to promote the proactive use of Data and Analytics ("D&A") in decision making by CABM leadership and all teams. This specific role has overall responsibility for Knowledge Management - the integration of various data / insights flows and training initiatives for the D&A workstream in the CABM Future State program. The focus is on both and short-term insights generation and on identifying long-term futuristic trends.
Knowledge Management
  • Structure existing data and analytics into a centralised and holistic 'source of truth' within the function to enable all CABM staff to have a shared understanding of our audiences, data tools and knowledge.
  • Work closely with data team leads to align information flow from within the CABM function and from rest of the bank business teams.
  • Establish a knowledge management delivery platform, initially through the CABM Future State Bridge, and later to a best-in-class knowledge management system, to ensure that all our data, reports and insights are easy to access and use (i.e. data democratisation).
  • To help build best in class, bank approved, capabilities and practices for collecting new data and insights 'at speed' and leverage them in a consistent way, with a shorter lead time, for future campaign / content development.
  • To identify and map additional data needs and requirements and be able to challenge the veracity of existing and new data.
  • Identify gaps sources and tools available in the market to enhance our D&A capabilities.
Reporting and Training
  • Integrate all analysis and insights to generate a regular rhythm of CABM management team reports and presentations.
  • Organise webinars and training via the Learning to grow D&A skills and to promote data guided decision-making at all levels within CABM.
  • Provide functional expertise and assist in designing new initiatives.
  • To leverage all our data and analytics to identify 'future trends' and the evolving needs / expectations of our different audiences ie. to help 'see around the corner'.
Policies, Processes and Governance
  • Ensure implementation of the banks policies, processes and governance around data and analytics.
  • Regular engagement with the D&A teams in other areas of the bank and alignment to the Group's Data and Analytics strategy.
  • Build, revise, review and maintain data polices and processes.
  • Oversee and assist analytics team (when in place) on an ongoing basis and to ensure consensus among Data Analysts and Data Engineers.
  • Prepares materials for governance meetings as required including updates to the CABM Management Team.
  • Ensure that all data collected is line with business rules, compliance rules and legal rules.
  • Complies with data privacy risk regulations to ensure strict confidentiality of any client data that is collected as part of any survey process.
  • Manage all Operational Risk and Internal Audit requests.
Risk Management
  • Ensures that issues, risks and interdependencies are identified, managed and resolved and ensures a robust escalation process is in place where Accountable Executive and Project Steering Committtee are required to own mitigating actions.
  • Ensures key person risks (BAU and project) are mitigated.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the CABM function to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: [Transparent Business Model; Effective Governance; Ethical Leadership; People Competency and Integrity].
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key Stakeholders
  • Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing Management team
  • CABM teams especially Group and Country Brand & Marketing teams.
  • Specialist advisors in other functions including HR, Finance.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 7+ Years of experience in Managing multiple data sources, organising documents and curating insights and reports.
  • Experience in organising Training including regular learning sessions, workshops, webinars, e-learning.
  • Able to develop newsletters and publish to a wide audience.
  • Some experience in a Banking business role is an advantage i.e. across multiple client segments.
  • Quantitative research experience an advantage.
  • Vendor management.
  • Other qualifications or certificates relating to knowledge management tools and platforms.
