How You Add Value

Stakeholder relationship and management
• Understand Blackstone's needs and requirements for BREP and BPPA funds, responsible for ensuring alignment to requirements and ensuring the team is ahead of the game to anticipate and have the agility to adapt to an ever-changing landscape
• Ensure proper coordination of all activities related either to the integration of newly acquired assets into Revantage Asia, or the disposals/liquidation processes, offboarding of structures and wind up of services
• Be the main client partner for Blackstone at Revantage Asia. Overseeing the interface between Blackstone and Revantage Asia teams, including but not limited to Finance (Finance Operations / Centre of Excellence / Tax, Treasury, etc) Legal & Compliance, and Asset & Property Managers.
• Overall responsibility for Deal Structures and Fund Flows (Capitalisation and Distributions), working closely with Treasury, Acquisition Accounting, CoSec, and Blackstone to manage requests and deadlines
• Forge productive and cost-effective partnerships with new and existing external service providers
• Support establishment of global forum to work with BREP and BPPA counterparts across the Revantage global organisation

Quality Management
• Ensure quality of BREP, BPPA and AID deliverables and services are aligned to excellence required by Blackstone
• Oversee the monthly KPI's reporting and service levels to Management and Blackstone
• Ensure effective and consistent processes, policies, and group policies are adhered to across funds and the complete Finance services life-cycle
Improvement Initiatives
• Help determine the strategic direction of the continuous improvement initiatives to better serve Blackstone; streamline and optimize acquisition and integration processes across different Revantage Asia teams
• Drive various accounting software implementation initiatives serving to improve BREP / BPPA accounting and reporting process
• Drive and identify opportunities to increase the utilisation of Revantage's global centre of excellence and focus on increasing Singapore capacity to better serve BX

Team management
• Support the development of future leaders in the finance teams
• Up-skill, inspire, and lead the team in demonstrating our values while being "In Pursuit of Better".
• Monitor appropriateness of team structure and workload, work with teams to manage capacity and prioritization.
• Assess teams' needs, and provide ongoing coaching and training to direct reports
• Onboard new team members and ensure application of operating processes
• Work with the head of finance operations to ensure an optimal structure between tactical, operational and transversal teams

Management and Oversight of End-to-End Acquisition and Disposal Process
• Lead and/or participate to the completion of deal acquisitions:
  • Understand the urgency of time sensitive closings, and be accountable for all end-to- end acquisition and disposal processes
  • Identify, manage issues and risks
  • Responsible to ensure quality of the handover from Acquisition Accounting and build knowledge of deal for stable transition to BREP, BPPA and Finance Operations BAU
  • Act as a gatekeeper with BX Acquisition and Business finance teams to ensure key clauses and requirements are embedded in the SPAs to ensure full availability of information from counterparties to fully serve the investment structure and internal/investor reporting requirements

Oversight of the teams who are responsible for:
• Understanding tax structuring to proactively manage pre-closing mechanics, i.e. preparation and or review of supporting documents, cash movements, set up of systems, obtaining documentation, acquisitions accounting, due diligence support, tax compliance set up etc.
• Overall accountability for the BREP/BPPA finance teams who are responsible for the following:
• Managing deliverables from COE or liaison with local JV partners/Operating partners/Asset Managers
• Financial support and management of SPV's through life investment life cycle, i.e. acquisitions, disposals, distributions and refinancing
• Bookkeeping, management, financial and US Tax Compliance and Investor Reporting.
• Liaise with lenders and ensure compliance with lending requirements
• Manage cashflow of investment structures
• Ensure the calculation of capitalization structure/amounts, the issue of shares, and preparation of loan documents for each investment is in accordance with structuring advice
• Ensure compliance of tax structuring for investments
• Support asset management team with ad hoc financial information / analysis as required
• Liaise with external advisors, such as tax advisors, auditors and legal advisors in relation to ongoing matters and structuring issues related to additions and disposals

What You Bring To The Role

• Masters (or equivalent) in Finance/Economics and Chartered Accountant
• Extensive experience Real Estate/Private Equity industry or Fund Administration experience
• Senior Stakeholders and Relationship Management experience, able to challenge and influence key stakeholders, manage in a dynamic, fast-paced and complex environment
• Tax Structuring knowledge
• Coaching skills to effectively empower, engage and develop team members
• Experience in leading large indirect teams.
• Track record in driving large scale initiatives and grand plans end to end
• Holistic and Big Picture thinker with ability to zoom into and support on the details when needed
• Executional excellence and driving business results
• Excellent client service skills and ability to partner with multiple, diverse stakeholders
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, relationship-building skills required with a solid track record in developing internal and external relationships and fostering team spirit
• Multilingual preferred in at least one Asian language but not necessary
