Investment Services Public Markets

Investment Services Public Markets (ISPM) is an integrated investment service team that uses data and emerging technologies to provide services for public market investment activities strategically and tactically. The team is responsible for business strategy and management functions for all public market investment groups, as well as GIC's global trade execution management, custody control and asset servicing, investment monitoring, regulatory compliance, futures and derivative clearing operations, collateral management, pricing and valuations, data solutions and services and asset rebalancing. The coverage extends across a spectrum of products such as equities, bonds, money market, foreign exchange, futures, collateralized securities and other derivatives.

Data Solutions & Services

Data Solutions & Services (DSS) is the partner of choice for all investment data related activities in GIC; the department comprises business data operations, business data services and analytics, asset valuation & analytics, investment book of record and investment data services & analytics. Within the DSS division, the Business Data Services team is responsible for the design and leading of strategic data solutions build-out to support our public markets investment capabilities. The team is also responsible for researching & the management of the implementation of data services for all investment strategies & new product lines, leveraging a range of expertise and through the establishment of strategic partnerships across the firm and in the market, to embed and foster best practices in operating and service models.

We are seeking a talented professional to join us as a Vice President to lead the design, develop and deliver data product solutions, business processes and target operating model across Public and Private Markets. The successful candidate will join ISPM's DSS division to work on enterprise projects related to data product solutions, analytics and stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholders in data product projects, including the design, develop and deliver of optimal data and technology solutions.
• Collaborate effectively across Investment Services Public Markets (ISPM), Investment Services Private Markets & Finance (ISPVMF), Risk & Performance Management Department (RPMD) to lead the gathering of requirements for the design and user testing of data product solutions
• Adopt project management disciplines in business context, such as defining clear roles and responsibilities among business stakeholders and ensuring adoption of data solutions and tracking of benefits
• Work closely with key stakeholders to establish an optimal Target Operating Model on data solutions balancing agility and scalability
• Drive the design and development of an efficient and effective data & analytical stewardship model to operationalize business process changes, across the investment value chain to support ISPM, ISPVMF and RPMD stakeholders

Requirements

• 10 years' experience in data managing in asset management industry, MDM, IBOR/ABOR and Asset Valuation
• Strong understanding of financial instruments across various asset classes; public and private markets
• Strong business acumen, with good understanding how data is used by downstreams, for investment and risk and performance teams.
• Program management certifications such as PMP sought
• Familiar with current and future industry trends e.g., LIBOR transition, Sustainability
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Translate business data needs for implementation by technology groups
• Experience in leading user testing of data solutions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at stakeholder management
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage multiple business requirements with deadlines
