About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, the right candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Requirement gathering and impact analysis for change requests, projects and new product development
  • Development and support for change requests, projects and new product development
  • Stream Lead: Ability to lead and train a small/medium team
  • Adherence to UOB project processes
  • Management of SIT and UAT phases
  • Assisting with production implementation

Job Requirements
Expected and must haves:
  • More than 6 years of MUREX workflows and Reports development experience in the financial industry, direct experience with treasury business is preferred.
  • Good understanding of Murex 3.1 workflow, interfaces packages, export/import Tools, Standard Format ( FIX, FpML, TOF..) , connectivity ( MQ, Webservices..)familiar with trade back office workflows: payment/confirmation, contract workflow, exchange workflow etc, SQL, Datamart, Config management, GIT, scripting
  • In-depth experience in Murex workflow development involving trade life cycle/event, GOM, static data, market data
  • Ability to perform business analysis and requirement gathering independently
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Preferred skills:
  • Good understanding of Murex Mx3.1 datamart development around schema and viewer
  • Good and thorough understanding of bank's front office and back office operations, risk, finance and accounting.
  • Good knowledge of treasury products
  • Experience in Unix, preferably Linux (Redhat) and Solaris to the level of checking processes, writing shell scripts and checking log files.
  • Strong in Oracle 10g/11G, SQL, PL-SQL
