We Offer
An interesting role in the Wealth Management APAC First Line of Defense Support (FLDS) team has opened up, which is part of the bank's COO organisation. The key responsibility of the FLDS Team is to design, implement, monitor and maintain an adequate culture of risk and control within Wealth Management APAC, working closely with the location FLDS teams.
This role is intended to be a senior hire who will further strengthen and deepen the existing competencies and management bench strength of the APAC FLDS team, and is expected to work closely with the Head of WM APAC FLDS to deliver the team's mandate and objectives.
The role includes the following core tasks:
• Partner with WM APAC Management, location FLDS teams, COO stakeholders, Front Office and other stakeholders as a risk and control advisor on relevant topics.
• Guide and support the identification, analysis and assessment of key operational and business-related risks across WM APAC and recommend solutions to lead, mitigate and monitor the risks identified.
• Drive and lead WM APAC relevant regulatory inspections, audits and read-across to ensure a successful outcome, and recommend solutions to address identified gaps as well as tracking and monitoring the closure of audit points as needed.
• Contribute to regulatory assessment and implementation arising from regulatory change impacting the business.
• Represent WM APAC FLDS as necessary in projects and business initiatives to improve risk culture, risk awareness and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.
• Facilitate the governance processs of WM APAC to ensure that WM APAC governance blueprint is robust, sound and adhered to.
• Assist with leadership and mentorship responsibilities to the WM APAC FLDS team members.
