Our client is an international asset management firm with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit a high calibre candidate to join them.
The Investment Risk and Quantitative Analytics (IRQA) team's primary role is to monitor all the investments undertaken by portfolio managers within public markets includes equities, fixed income and multi asset solutions portfolios. In addition, the team partners with the portfolio managers to provide quantitative support to investment teams. Enthusiastic individuals with strong quantitative background and deep interest and understanding of financials markets. The individual will have the chance to work with different portfolios, different asset classes and hone their quant skill and understanding of financials markets.
Form a part of a global risk management team and act as the primary analyst for group of portfolios. Assist with the ongoing development of risk management processes in partnership with the rest of the team. Understand and evaluate portfolio managers' investment process and ensure it is consistently applied. Support senior team members in coverage of their funds. Discuss and present results of portfolio analysis. Actively participate in emerging risk initiatives. Support the daily activities of the team including daily risk analysis and reporting. Ensuring that all portfolios are managed consistent with their investment process.
To be considered, you should be a degree holder in with around 5 years of experience in a quantitative field with financial industry. Understanding of financials markets and instruments. Strong Knowledge of different risk models and measures and their strengths and weaknesses. Knowledge of different asset types. Experience in visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI. Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and a programming language (such as R, SQL, VBA). Familiarity in using financial systems including Bloomberg, BarraOne, FactSet, RiskMetrics is a plus. Familiarity with complex derivatives is a plus.
