In this key leadership position in the Loan Syndications team in SEAIME, you are responsible for the structuring, negotiation, documentation and execution of ANZ tailored bilateral, club and syndicated lending facilities for our Asian and International customers.

As an Executive Director/Director for Loan syndications, you will be proactively driving the origination, distribution, and execution of syndicated loan transactions for the Institutional clients in SEAIME. You will work in close collaboration with Institutional Relationship Coverage and product partners (e.g. Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Structured Asset Finance, Project and Export Finance, Corporate Advisory, etc.) to provide structured financing solutions.

Your accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Leading the team's syndicated loan distribution efforts on transactions in the SEAIME region
  • Maintaining, enhancing and expanding investor relationships both in the bank and non-bank investor space
  • Taking ownership of origination activity in Singapore and Malaysia by proactively driving client engagement
  • Preparing high quality and insightful client pitches and presentations outlining ANZ's analysis and recommendations
  • Assisting and working closely with the team throughout the entire syndicated loan life cycle
This role is based in Singapore and will primarily focus on South East Asia, India and the Middle East transactions, but with the requirement to work on broader regional transactions as necessary, including covering North Asia and Australian transactions from time to time.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following -
  • Extensive investor network with proven ability of converting market intelligence into transactions
  • Origination experience within local Singapore corporates. Existing relationships with borrowers will be viewed favourably
  • Well-developed and proven track record in loan syndications, debt capital markets and relationship management
  • Ability to generate secondary sale opportunities via investor conversation
  • Committed, diligent, self-motivated with ability to manage the origination process end-to-end with limited support
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) as the role requires intensive engagement with non-English speaking investors
