Asia Oceana Corporate Banking Department is responsible for the strengthening of Mizuho product-related businesses in Asia Pacific by giving sound financial advice and solutions, and providing support to all Mizuho branches in the region.

Job Responsibilities
As a key member of the ESG team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the bank's engagement with executive management of corporate clients across Asia and Oceania to better understand their sustainability needs
  • Engaging with various stakeholders, such as relationship bankers and other product bankers, to help structure sustainable finance loans
  • Researching and advising on international better practices, including industry-specific key performance indicators and sustainable financing frameworks
  • Communicating with Second Party Opinion and third-party ESG Ratings providers
  • Promoting better practice and help drive Mizuho Bank's ESG strategy


Job Requirements
What you should have:
  • At least five years of work experience
  • A Bachelor Degree in Business or related discipline, with understanding of how corporates are impacted by key sustainability trends
  • Qualification or certificate in Sustainable Finance or ESG Finance is desirable
  • Understanding of key international sustainability institutions, standards, data, and financing markets (e.g. green, social, sustainability-linked loans)
  • Ability to learn and produce succinct analytical work independently with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to convert analytical work into pragmatic ESG advice
  • Flexible to travel and meet clients face-to-face
