Our Mission is to provide strategic support and best-in-class service to global digital economy and emerging technology companies in order to spearhead their growth at each stage of their life cycle. We help our customers leverage off a coordinated DBS Ecosystem which enables us to execute transactions across equity and debt solutions, as well as day-to-day banking services, that go beyond catering to the digital economy company but extends to its network of promoters and partners. Our Focus Markets include Singapore, Indonesia, India, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Core functions/Responsibilities:
  • Identifying and analysing equity advisory and debt opportunities in DEG companies across DBS' core markets
  • Meeting DEG companies and investors, and doing external pitches
  • Conducting research on the industry and DEG companies, understanding business models of DEG companies, and building detailed financial models
  • Preparing termsheets, structuring and negotiating deals, and executing transactions (including legal documentation)
  • Preparing internal presentations and write-ups such as pre-screening decks and credit memos
  • Supporting clients with their day-to-day banking needs such as account opening
  • Coordinating and working with internal & external stakeholders in carrying out tasks
  • Other tasks and duties as required by the team
Background, Skills & Attributes
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Business-related fields
  • At least 2 years working experience with an investment bank, corporate VCs, technology start-ups, credit funds/institutions, corporate finance, M&A, Equity/Debt Investing fund and/or accounting firm, with exposure to investing in India, China and/or SEA (exposure to investing in technology companies is preferred, but is not a pre-requisite)
  • High level of interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, technical and financial modelling skills (including proficiency in excel and powerpoint)
  • Able to work well in fast-paced environment, and deal with multiple stakeholders
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independently
