Role Responsibilities
  • Analyse and validate requirements around usage of external data using a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving. Strong functional expertise in gathering, validating and documenting business requirements; creating functional specifications for solutions.
  • Conducts impact assessment to identify the "as-is" processes, systems, and the "future" processes, systems, and structures. Able to generate good project documentations, such as drafting user stories, presentation packs.
  • Build and maintain good relationship with a diverse group of external vendors. Maintains relationships with stakeholders and obtains formal signoff of all requirement documentation. Ability to manage senior stakeholders across multiple streams - business users, technology, finance, data. Support the ESG Product Owners and Business Architects to build an ESG Ecosystem.
  • Maintain good records of all elements of the External Data Inventory in the bank, including contracts, pricing, user profiles, vendor uploads and tracking spare licenses for reallocation or cancellation.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with terms and conditions of market data vendors / exchanges agreements.
  • Research data quality issues, identify resolutions and update systems as required.
  • Performs data analysis to cleanse and standardize data and to ensure data consistency and quality.
  • Provides project support to the impacted teams during implementation phases, including answering queries, trouble shooting, liaison with service provider, providing regular reporting.
  • Contributes to project management processes, including status reporting, risk, issue, change, compliance management.
  • Liaises with service providers to ensure understanding of requirements and limitations of solutions.
  • Perform extensive data validation / quality assurance analysis within large datasets. Query structured / unstructured data sources and perform data extracts.
  • Build proactive data validation automation to catch data integrity issues.
  • Utilize strong Microsoft Excel and SQL skills to provide high-quality data analysis and support to clients, internal stakeholders and select media outlets.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology / System, Business, or related disciplines. Master's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business finance will be a big plus.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Solution Manager, Product Expert or Product Owner in data driven digital transformation programmes.
  • Strong functional knowledge of CCIB (Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking) business.
  • Work experience on environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics such as carbon accounting, decarbonization pathways, ESG ratings, reporting, sustainable investing and finance, and net-zero targets is highly desired.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of various global sustainability frameworks and methodologies to measure ESG performance.
  • Exposure to ESG related data is preferred, strong interest to become the ESG data expert.
  • Strong functional Knowledge of externa market data (such as Company Fundamentals, Securities Master data).
  • Familiarity with financial instruments and transaction due diligence processes.

  • Research data quality issues, identify resolutions and update systems as required. Performs data analysis to cleanse and standardize data and to ensure data consistency and quality.
  • Provides project support to the impacted teams during implementation phases, including answering queries, trouble shooting, liaison with service provider, providing regular reporting.
  • Perform extensive data validation / quality assurance analysis within large datasets. Query structured / unstructured data sources and perform data extracts.
  • Ability to organize and lead meetings with business and operational data owners.
  • Utilize strong Microsoft Excel and SQL skills to provide high-quality data analysis and support to clients, internal stakeholders and select media outlets
  • Advanced data analysis capabilities and software experience, including advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis and visualization (e.g. power query, advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros / VBA) and / or knowledge of other relevant programs and workflow tools.
  • Knowledge of project management and collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, Trello and Mural.
Experience working in agile team, knowledge of agile methodologies and agile ceremonies. One or more of the following certifications
  • Certified Scrum Professional
  • SAFe Program Consultant, LeSS or Lean Methodologies
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Experience with two or more Big Data technologies like Spark, Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.
  • Knowledge of two or more of RDMS, Spring Data, Postgres, AWS RDS
  • Spring Boot microservices development.
  • Java development.
